Here's how backdated my photos are... today is going to be about Harry's Cafe de Wheels. I don't even remember when we visited that place, but we're looking at 2 months back. I decided to include this as part of the cafe series because technically, that's what it is- a cafe.

This was post badminton, when ST, BW and I decided to have some well-earned pies and pea mash. This was their signature dish named after founder Harry ‘Tiger’ Edwards of chunky lean beef pie served with mushy peas, mash & gravy.

Look at that gravy. This is actually the first time I try Harry's... shocking since it's so famous and I've been in Sydney for, what, 12+ years? I go past it often as well, there's one right outside Capitol Square.

ST and I decided to be just a little greedy and got their hotdog too. Another house special, this was their Hot Dog de Wheels- Continental Viennese smoked frankfurt served with mushy peas, chilli con carne and garlic onions with cheese sauce and chilli sauce.

Chunky? Definitely!
The thing about pies though, is that I find it's one of the foods that must be consumed quickly or it can get extremely messy. I've tried many different ways of eating pies actually. With a fork. With no fork. Tearing the crust off the top to dip into the minced meat and then eating the shell. Holding it on its side and eating it almost like a taco. I almost never put tomato sauce on top because how will you eat it without creating a big mess and a potential blob of red on your shirt? Then you'd want to eat it while it's still warm and the crust is all crispy... if you put sauce, it goes soggy. The only way? Eat fast!
This one wasn't particularly messy for me, though the surprise mess was caused by that hotdog. You can't eat hotdogs with forks, and this one had more stuffing than you'd imagine.
And yes, I am an overall clumsy diner =(
